A Mothers’ Day poem

I light up in every case
When I see my mother’s face.
Could one be in a better place,
Than in one's mother's embrace?
My mother told me back then
“I love you to the moon and back again”.
Her words still echo now and then
Maybe when the clock hits ten.
I love her more than I admit
And when I think for a bit,
I wonder if I could ever fit
Into a world without her in it.
