An Egyptian Adventure

I have been traveling in Egypt for 2 weeks. But I can safely declare, the most marvelous experience, was the visit to the pyramids. These historical lighthouses in the ocean of desert represent the greatness, of the ancient Egyptian civilization.

I made my journey by bus. My guide said that these monuments were one of the world’s 7 wonders.  We entered Khufu’s pyramid.  The entrance was narrow.  After a few minutes, we arrived in a little modest chamber. The guide said that that was the tomb of Khufu, but the thieves robbed all the fortune.

At this moment, the chamber trembled, and a ghost came out from the floor. This phenomenon sparkled stunningly. The ghost said that he was ghost of Khufu, and we were the thieves who robbed his tomb.

My guide screamed and ran away. Khufu’s ghost looked at me and said that because I had stolen his fortune, I would stay with him in the pyramid forever. So, I started running to the entrance, but is forgot the way. I got lost in the labyrinth of dozens of tunnels. I ran for my life, the ghost was behind me.

“I didn’t steal your fortune,” I screamed. But he didn’t care about it. I turned right, I turned left, but I didn’t find the way out. Fortunately, the ghost was behind me no more, but I heard him.

In front of me, I saw a vase, and I hid behind it. The ghost went next to me, but he didn’t spot me.   I wandered for hours in the tunnels, I was really afraid of the ghost, but I knew that I had to go. After a corner, I ran into a spider web, and unfortunately, I screamed out.

At this moment, the ghost was in front of me. His green sheen lit the space. I ran as fast as I could, and after a corner, I saw the exit.  I was in front of the door, but the ghost caught me, I felt his cold hands on my neck. So, I got a handful of sand, and I threw it into his face. 

He let go of my neck, and I ran out to the sunlight, where he couldn’t come after me. This was my Egyptian adventure.
