Christmas rivals - part 1

Deep in the heart of Evergreen, in a cosy town, the Christmas spirit was present all year. The creative mayor, Mr. Clause led the local people to create a winter wonderland every year. This brings joy into all people’s hearts. But I think one of the most important things that this town is famous for is the Fisher’s bakery.

The bakery’s doors had been open for more than 30 years. Every client came out from there with a big and happy smile on their faces. The founder of this business was Amy Fisher, Lily's grandma. She wrote the delicious cookie recipes by herself. This is one of the reasons why this place is so known and famous.

Their biggest sales were at Christmas, because everyone thought that here they could buy the world’s most delicious gingerbread. Because of this, the neighbor bakery’s owner, Jackob was really jealous. He always wished bad things for the Fisher’s bakery. But Amy’s and Lily’s creativity, positivity helped the business to grow and be better even in tough times.

The best time of the year, Christmas is here again. If we go for a walk in this town, we can smell the gingerbread in the air. The heart of Evergreen is decorated with beautiful ornaments, actually, the town’s vibe is perfect. But this year, everything will be more special, because Mr. Clause decided to organize a competition between the town’s bakeries. The one who could make the biggest gingerbread house would be the winner.

The prize would be money and fame, of course. Jackob would do anything to win. He decided to steal Amy’s recipe book.

What a malicious idea, in the next chapter we will find out who will be the lucky one, the winner.
