It's going to be a while...

Until you figure out for yourself

what Christmas is really about.

But until then

you have all the time in the world

to be just a kid

who couldn't care less

about the peace,

about the love,

about the forgiveness,

about the holiness.

You are lucky enough

to keep wishing and whining

for all the presents

the expensive gifts

every shiny object

that enters your sight.

It's going to be a while...

And I wouldn't trade it

for a single thing.
