Once upon a time there were two little girls, Sarah and Lisa. They and their parents often visited their grandmother because she lived alone and had Alzheimer. She couldn’t take care of herself because of the illness, so the girls’ parents had taken care of her. Their grandma couldn’t remember much of her life, just a few things had remained in her memory, like the beautifully painted cup that she received from her mother, or the members of her family.
The girls had been playing that they were at a tea party during which their mother cooked soup for grandma, when their dad told them that they should get ready because they would leave. Lisa and Sarah started putting the cups in its place.
“Before we leave, can I see one more time grandma’s special cup? It is so special!” Lisa asked.
“No, don’t you see that it is already late, we don’t have time,” Sarah answered, and put the cup on the shelf.
Their grandmother came into the kitchen to say goodbye to her grandchildren. Sarah was hugging her grandmother when Lisa tried to take the special cup, but it fell out of her hands and broke. Lisa started to cry, she knew how important that was for her grandmother.
“I am so, so sorry, I didn’t mean to.”
“Lisa, quickly sweep it up! I told you that you sould not take it! If you had listened to me, now the cup wouldn’t be broken now. I wish sometimes you would listen to me sometimes, then situations like this wouldn’t happen” Sarah shouted.
Grandma was shocked, she couldn’t say anything.
