One day a young, curios boy found a rusty key in their flower beds. All day long he had been thinking about this key, however, he hadn’t been able to figure out what this old opener was for. Finally, he noticed a small door on the side of the shed that he had never seen before. When he inserted the key, the door slowly opened… and inside he found a forgotten treasure chest full of old family memories.
The little boy realized that his great-grandfather had left it there, as he noticed his pictures inside the box. He opened the chest overflowing with excitement. Inside he discovered yellowed photographs, an old clock and a dusty diary. Curiously, he started flipping through the diary and realized that his great-grandfather had written it when he had still been a child himself. At that moment he wished he had found it sooner.
Between the rows he found a map that led to another hidden corner of the garden. With a little digging, he unearthed a message in a bottle: “If you're reading this, your curiosity is just as great as mine. Always research and discover!” The boy smiled - he felt as if his great-grandfather were still by his side, inviting him to a new adventure.
The little boy excitedly showed the diary and the message to his grandmother, who was touched and recognized her father's old handwriting. She began talking about the old days, how they had played in the garden, and how great-grandpa had always loved secret messages.
Encouraged by this, he decided to hide a message of his own for the future. He wrote a letter describing his discovery and how adventurous he found life. After putting it in a bottle, he buried it into another part of the garden, making up his mind that one day he would tell his own children about this special day.
As the sun slowly set on the horizon, the little boy looked at the stars and wondered: who would find his message and when? The beginning of a new adventure had already been hidden somewhere underground.
