We begin with Socrates’ warning,
a voice from centuries ago,
where children were already guilty
of growing further from their parents’ shelter.
You say we love luxury,
but our luxury is silence,
a moment without buzzing screens
and a breath without warnings.
We speak in rapid messages,
with our thumbs racing over the screen,
yet our thoughts travel oceans
in seconds.
Yes, we challenge our parents,
because we want to understand,
not simply repeat.
We test the old rules
to see what hasn't changed.
We are not tyrants at the table,
we are citizens of the future world,
raised between crisis and ongoing change,
learning to turn pain into voice,
then voice into something better.
