Once upon a time, Rue had a wish. She desired to stay at home alone to celebrate New Year’s Eve without her parents and sister. She wanted to feel what it was like not to be disturbed by the people around her and enjoy it by herself.
One day, she gained the courage to ask her parents if they wound agree with her idea, even though they were extremely strict. Surprisingly, they said yes on the first try, which was unexpected. She started to feel that something was suspicious, so she asked if they were sure. They agreed. Rue was contended and joyful that her plan that she had been plotting became real, but something was off about her parents’ reaction. She thought to herself that maybe her parents wanted to assess her responsibility.
“Be careful not to let anybody enter the house, and do not leave the doors open,” that was all her parents asked her.
As soon as they left, Rue called her best friend Amy, and they had been talking for approximately 5 hours. It felt like they were laughing and talking in real life. Amy hung up the phone, because her parents needed her to join their company. Rue began to watch her favourite movie named Waves. Time passed, and suddenly she heard a knock on her window. As soon as she saw who it was, she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was the boy she had always liked, Josh. She let him in and asked
“How come have you come to my place, what do you need?”
“I thought that it would be special if I asked you out on this day.”
She told him to sit down, then they began talking. They had been sharing stories with each other about their lives, then they went for a walk. So far, Rue had had her most romantic night by being with somebody she had been liking for decades. They fell in love immediately, because they completed each other.
At midnight they kissed, and it seemed unreal. Rue began to get cold, then Josh followed her home. After he had left, Rue started to feel that she had done something wrong, because she had forgotten about the rule her parents had told her. Josh texted her when he got home, and they facetimed each other. By the morning, her parents got home. All that she was hoping for was for her parents not to find out about what she had done. After all, she had no regrets.
