Oh, to live till the edge of time
To experience everything sublime
Not to feel the compulsion,
That one day I might have to say goodbye.
Oh, to feel the warm sunshine
Bathe in its glory for a lifetime.
To breathe the fresh air,
Calming myself from despair.
Oh, to smell a fragrance
Like feeling a flower’s brilliance.
To gaze upon a field of flowers
Lying among them for hours.
Oh, to hear someone’s laughter
Seeing their smile getting wider.
To feel someone’s touch
To love someone as much.
Oh, to grasp someone, grow up
Blooming, just as a tulip does.
Oh, to see someone grow old
Watching as their life unfolds.
Oh, to see the sun set,
To see the sky in a million shades of red.
To see the sun come up,
Hearing the birds wake up.
Oh, to feel the time pass
Like a snail on green grass,
Or like a car driving fast,
Maybe as the wood turns to ash.
