I see the reflection without an emotion
Is that me? Is that really me?
I wonder, staring at the unfamiliar face.
People come and go all the time
But I would have never thought the person that will leave
was myself.
Everything has to have a sacrifice
But was it worth it to lose a spark?
To be a flower outside
And ashes inside?
Hold a rose and it stings you.
Its thorns penetrate deep into your skin.
Maybe I’m a rose too.
But just like roses,
My thorns too are just protection for the weakened soul.
Because when the heart can't take the pain no more
It turns silent.
Completely silent.
Leaving the body without emotions,
Only being in my poems.
