Second chance romance

It wasn’t love at first sight, 

those were more of some bright calling eyes.

At that time everything felt so loving,

but in the end you gave me a whole lot of nothing.

The pain was so numbing, 

after a while I was just physically living.

It gave me the feeling of late march,

even though it was straight fall,

But that was just a thought,

because now together we are as strong as a stone wall.

Never thought I could love someone this much,

I can feel your warm skin’s soft touch.

Now it has been a year,

but it already feels like a lifetime because you’re always here.

I can’t thank you enough,

but I can tell you I would do it again,

from the bottom of my heart.
