Shades of love

I have brown eyes,
but they're not the kind of brown that people write poetry about.
They're dark and gloomy,
just like the scary part of a horror movie.
They look black in most lights,
but you said it's your favourite kind,
the only thing that doesn't change 'till we die.
It doesn't really matter in the end,
as long as you think they're elegant.
But I like your eyes as well,
in fact, I prefer your smile instead.
I could stare at you all day long,
your happiness is my peace and calm,
'cause I'm never getting tired of the sound of your laugh.
I know we're young and wild,
but I hope we last 'till the end of time.
I almost said those three words,
but I will wait for you to say it first.
Just to be sure when I say I love you,
you will say it back, that you do too.
