One winter night, something felt strange. The weather was unusually warm for December, and a thick, mysterious fog covered everything. Suddenly, out of the fog, a huge steam train appeared. Its iron wheels clanked, and its whistle echoed loudly, making Lucas stare in disbelief. The name Aurora Express shone on its side in golden letters.
Lucas, 12 years old, couldn’t resist. He quickly grabbed his coat and stepped outside. As he approached the train, a tall conductor in a shiny uniform appeared.
“Lucas Miller?” the man asked with a smile. “We’ve been expecting you. The Aurora Express is ready to take you on an adventure.” Lucas hesitated, but a faint sound of bells filled the air, drawing him in. He climbed aboard and found himself in a beautiful train car with velvet seats, golden chandeliers, and the smell of cinnamon. Other children sat quietly, watching the magical scenery outside. The conductor handed Lucas a golden ticket and said,
“Hold on tight! This train always takes you exactly where you need to go.” As the train began to move, the snowy streets vanished, replaced by glittering stars and magical landscapes. Lucas’s journey had begun. Lucas sat by the window, staring out at the incredible sights. The train glided smoothly, passing snowy mountains that sparkled like crystals and forests glowing with millions of tiny lights. He clutched his golden ticket tightly, wondering where the train was taking him.
“First time on the Aurora Express?” a voice asked. Lucas turned to see a girl about his age sitting across from him. She had straight black hair and a confident smile. “I’m Claire” she said, holding up her own golden ticket.
“Yeah,” Lucas said. “Do you know where we’re going?”
Maya shrugged. “Not exactly. But they say the train always knows what you need. Last year, it helped my brother find his courage. What about you? Why do you think you’re here?”
Steaming on...
