The Different One

In a world full of vampires, witches and other monstrous creatures, humans lived full of fear and with their only hope being the hunters, whose job it was to catch and kill these monsters.

One day, a vampire entered the village, but it was an unusual one. It didn’t seem to be as wild as the other ones. Obviously, the people first ran into their houses, but the monster wasn’t running around like the usual vampires, he sat down at the front of the church and waited. Soon, a man came out of his house and slowly walked to the vampire.

 “Who are you?” he asked.

“I have no name, but the others call me The Different One,” he answered.

“Why do they call you like that?” asked the man curiously.

“Because I have never sucked the blood of any creature,” he said.

The people had slowly gathered around the two of them, because they were curious about this strange man, who didn’t feel dangerous at all.

“Why did you come here?” asked someone from the crowd.

“I want to help you,” came the answer. “I am ready to betray the vampire king, and help all of you to get rid of the monsters he created”

From then on, the vampire visited the village every month and gave them information about the plans of the vampires. After a time, the king found out what he was doing, so he ran back to the village and lived there. He helped the hunters defend the village against the fierce attacks of the vampire army.

One day came the biggest army they had ever seen, and the one leading it was none other then the king of the vampires. At the start of the battle, it looked like the humans were winning, but slowly, the vampires started to dominate.

Then, as fast as a bolt of lightning, The Different One ran into the army of monsters. Everyone was shocked, so he managed to get to the king and stabbed him.

He sacrificed himself, because when the king dies, all vampires die, but he saved many lives of humans, which will never be forgotten.
