The importance of napping in a student’s life

There is one crucial element in our everyday habits that many people don’t appreciate enough. That is the importance of napping and just logging off the usual schedule. Nowadays everything happens very fast. For example, some days go by and feel like a minute and I would often find myself writing my homework, realizing that it’s already 10 pm and that I should be sleeping. I used to wish that it were the weekend already many times, even though it was only Tuesday, because I barely had any time to rest.

It didn’t take me much time, however, to realise that this was not okay, and that I had to fix this usual habit of mine, because in the long-term it could cause some very serious problems, like a messed up sleeping schedule or always feeling tired.

First of all, I decided to reorganise my schedule a little bit, so I could fit in some napping minutes after every daily activity. A very crucial element is that we have to prioritise in order to have a balanced schedule that is not too stacked or too empty. However, the thing that helped me the most to get a better sleep and for me to be able to get into a very deep sleep is that I turned off my phone half an hour before going to sleep, and so my mind had time to calm down. This is the part where many kids of my age fail, because they crave for some screen time before napping.

Spending eight hours in school can be very exhausting, and throughout that period the students get a lot of information that stacks up in their mind. Besides this, many people have activities after school, like sport or an extra class that they have to attend, etc.  I have some acquaintances that often forget to chill for a moment and just simply do nothing for a little bit. I would find them at the end of the day completely burnt out and looking very exhausted. Trust me, this is a state of illness that you don’t want to get to because as I said, in a long-term it can affect your whole body.

Overall, I hope that this little text of mine will help you a little bit, because, trust me, I am in the same situation, and I know how it is to be a student with loads of homework. It won’t be easy in the beginning, but if you stay consistent, you will see some results right away, like not being tired all the time and overall just feeling more energetic than ever.
