The ride that almost ended the story...

It was around four o'clock when my best buddy and I decided on going on our first trail ride of the year. The weather was quite all right, a bit windy with an overcast, but that didn't stop us from planning our trip. We got our gear on and a backpack with spare parts in case of anything.
"All right, I guess we ready to go…" said Max as he got on his atv.
"Yeah, everything seems fine, did you get the straps for the pulley?"
"Yeah, I packed them in the front storage unit."
So, we started our engines and rolled out our yard. The road leading to the trail was mostly asphalt, once we had arrived at the T section we took a right turn and continued on the dirt pathway {it was used as a forest road}.
"Max, I think we need to split here, I don't remember this intersection here..." I asserted with confusion.
"I-I don't know this road either, well, okay then. You take the left and I take the right path if that's fine with you..." offered Max for our idea of splitting up.
"All right, if you find anything, let me know on 88.08 frequency, the one we are used to using." I asked Max. [...]
...and that was the last time I saw him on his bright orange C-force atv, wearing his bright blue cross outfit and his white helmet… I followed my own path and got lost in the dense forest, and by the time I tried to turn around, my pathway had disappeared, it was nowhere to be found...
To be continued...
