…As we stopped running, I realized that John was injured, a shard of glass had flown into his arm. I took my backpack and reached for a bandage, I tried to calm him down and removed the shard of glass and poured some alcohol to disinfect the wound, and then I bandaged it.
We ran upstairs to seek some shelter in the museum, we found a storage part in the right wing of the castle. As we looked around, we heard some weird noises coming from the outside, so I told my friend to keep quiet and stay low.
I approached one of the windows nearby and peeked outside. What I saw was nothing ever seen before, it was a massive alien mechanized vehicle that was scanning the buildings around us. I tried to take a better look at it, when it turned around and faced directly me.
I was frozen in fear, I tried to crawl under the windows and go back to John. I tried to explain to him all the things I saw but suddenly an explosion interrupted my speech, it seemed like something had entered the building in which we were.
We got up and started to run to the hidden passageway we had found when we entered the building. I helped John to get in first, and then I entered and covered up the entrance. As we advanced through the narrow passageway, we found an old room that was covered up with dust and the windows were barricaded.
We looked around and found some bookshelves and a table with antique chairs, suddenly we heard again those strange sounds. It was like something was roaming around us outside the walls. We made a small base out of the bookshelves and spent there the night.
To be continued…
