To my family: the real creators of Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,

But not solely because of the lights I witness,

And not just thanks to the music’s sweetness,

It’s much, much more than that.

The magic is not a wrapped-up gift,

Nor the playful, white weather’s drift,

Nor the feasts that give us all a lift,

It’s much, much more than that.

Christmas could never be Christmas

Without the quiet magic made

By none other than each cheerful family,

Since this creates the true holiday harmony

Therefore, I dedicate this jolly poem

To my ever-loving parents at home,

Who carefully and lovingly created

The Christmas my heart has always known.

For they are much, much more than that.

They are everything.
