To steal or not to steal? (Christmas rivals – part 2)

Jacob knew it was a crazy idea to steal the recipe book. But he would have done anything for the victory. Emily’s recipe book was known in the town. The local people considered valuable that precious thing. They kept it in the town’s library, so it couldn’t be stolen easily. With those recipes in his possession, he believed he could create the most delicious and the biggest gingerbread house.

Jacob imagined how he would sneak into the library, where the book was kept, carefully, avoiding any security. But as Jacob thought more and more about his plan. He realized that stealing the recipe book would be unfair. It would ruin the trust of the community that had supported him through the dark time. He knew that true success comes from hard work. So, he decided to do some research and experiments with new flavors and ingredients.

He spent countless hours in his kitchen mixing, baking and tasting to create something amazing.

On the day of the competition Jacob presented his creation to the jury. A smile appeared on their faces. Jackob’s gingerbread house was gorgeous. But Amy’s gingerbread house was also splendid.

The jury couldn’t choose a winner. There was no winner. The two bakeries became really close after this competition. They created a new, big business. Everything was perfect in this little, cozy town. Everyone helped each other, just like a big family.
