Words

words mean a lot,

even if you think they’ll be gone,

they will haunt you ‘till you fall apart.

they make you regret everything you’ve ever done.

words are just words, they said,

but you still go to bed

thinking about what their mouth left.

once you let them through,

you can’t lock them back.

they crawl inside your thoughts,

twist everything that they’ve said. 

you carry them on your shoulders

like they are your children,

thinking about when will you forget them.

the truth is they will be with you forever, 

so that’s why you should always remember;

words have deep meanings,

and they will cut into you leaving a scar,

right after you grow up.
