The letter that changed everything

On a quiet afternoon, Anna was sitting nearby the window of a small café in London. Outside, the rain was falling softly, and the streets were full of people running home after a long workday. The warm light inside the café made Anna feel a little safer. She had just moved to the city a few weeks earlier, and everything still felt strange and lonely for her. Anna left her hometown, however, she wanted more from life. She dreamed of finding a job that she loved.

She opened her bag and took out an old letter. It was written by her grandmother before she passed away, yet Anna had never read it before, saving it for a moment when she really needed courage. That moment had finally come. The letter was written in careful, gentle handwriting. Her granny spoke about times when she felt afraid to follow her dreams. She wrote that life would sometimes be hard, but every ending may also be a beginning.

Anna read the letter slowly, feeling each word deeply. The noise of the café disappeared, it was just her and her grandmother’s voice, tears ran down her face, but she felt braver with every sentence. She realized that she did not have to be perfect or have everything planned.

After reading the letter, Anna decided to walk through the streets without rush, watching the lights in the windows and listening to the sounds of the city, and she felt something new inside her: hope. For the first time since she had arrived, she did not feel alone, she felt connected to the place where she was.
